My experience at Vertu Toyota Chesterfield could have been better because the car had one tyre that had a cut in the tyre wall and 2 tyres that were below 3mm tread (violating their approved used standards). I had to replace the tyres in the car, the dealership did, after some debate, reimburse me the cost of the tyres, but initially Alex Boot insinuated that I had done the damage to the front tyre, which I knew I had not. Thanks to my local garage I was able to prove that the damage was done to the tyre before it was even prepared for sale ( due to the the 'Tyre Black' used on the tyres clearing covering the inside of the cut on the tyre, and also the below 3mm tread on 2 of the other tyres. It was later admitted to be via an email from James Thomas that the tyres on my car had NOT been checked before leaving the Dealership. I do love the car and I'm happy now this was resolved but it's a lesson to the dealership that all tyres on all cars should be checked before the customer receives or collects the car. And also, not to assume automatically that the customer is lying and on the make for new tyres.
Kian the salesman however was a pleasure to deal with and James Thomas was polite and professional. Alexander Boot did phone me and he apologised, which I did appreciate. However, I do still feel that I should give honest feedback.
